TVH and Isabel Group: automation with a human touch

Logistics company TVH (Thermote en Vanhalst) is widely known in Waregem, where it is based, and beyond. Every day, TVH ships more than 46 million items for material handling, industrial vehicles, and construction and agricultural machinery to customers around the world, making it one of the leaders in its sector.

So it’s easy to see why more than 60 CFOs of Isabel 6 clients took up Isabel Group’s invitation to a joint event at TVH on 14 September 2023. The attendees particularly enjoyed the keynote by Kris De Ryck, who came on board as CEO of Isabel Group in August.

We keep you going

The event’s theme was ‘We keep you going’, underlining to attendees that automation is first and foremost about customer experience. From order management to picking and shipping, at TVH they go the extra mile to serve thousands of customers around the world. High-tech innovation plays a crucial part in this, as attendees experienced first-hand during a visit to the amazing TVH Experience Centre.

The same drive for automation and innovation is also evident in TVH’s Finance Department, where they successfully implemented Oracle Finance as their ERP system recently. Marc Oosterlinck, the company’s CFO, shared his inspiring and honest experiences about the challenges that his department faces. Solutions can be high-tech, but also extremely pragmatic. For example, if your company is the victim of a cyber attack, tip number 1 is to ensure you have the mobile phone numbers of all your employees!

Embedded banking and e-invoicing

As a loyal user, Oosterlinck is also looking forward to further developments within Isabel 6. Embedded banking with Isabel Connect is one such development: banking in Oracle Finance and automating routine tasks, which would allow him as CFO to play a more strategic role. TVH’s Finance Department has made enormous progress in recent years in terms of digitising Accounts Payable invoicing, which has resulted in serious efficiency improvements.

Judging by the many questions and conversations during the networking drinks afterwards, the attendees found the event very inspiring. I am already looking forward to what the next one has to offer!
