[Press release] International growth for Belgian business payment solution Ponto

Brussels, January 12, 2023 – The Belgian finance automation platform Ponto is crossing the border in Europe. Ponto, Isabel Group’s API solution for Account Information and Payment Initiation, is expanding its reach, focusing on the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Spain, and Italy. Ponto has seen a growing interest from these countries, with France becoming its third most important market after Belgium and the Netherlands.

Ponto’s international target audience is the accountancy and finance software market. Over 90% of its current partners are currently servicing this industry. Ponto’s APIs are designed to help software companies automate their interactions with bank data, making it easier for SMEs and accountants to extract bank statements and initiate payments. Ponto’s APIs are adaptable to multiple use cases, and works with a variety of industries, including real estate and auditing.

Ponto is currently mainly active in Belgium, has 150 partners and is connected to 1,800 European banks. Ponto holds a PSD2 license. The company aims to become the European reference for qualitative and stable API connections and for its support team, which can onboard a new bank in just a few days. Ponto also differentiates itself with its extensive documentation, designed specifically for developers, and its commitment to providing a free sandbox.
